In BCV she candidly (and at times humorously) addresses best practices and activities that can help in the cancer survival process, including the use of rituals. 10 Tips is a how to guide for improving lifestyles in terms of nutrition, exercise and elevating one's spiritual connection. A celebrity publicist, the new millennium has seen Stephens-El deliver addresses from Miami to New York, including a Victoria’s Secret Regional Conference, the U.S. Mint, numerous Book Fairs, Tom Joyner Take a Loved One To the Doctor Day, Sisters R Us Circle of Survivors Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Program, and numerous media appearances (CBS-3, NBC-10, Fox News), radio (iHeart Media). She co-authored the 2016 Decisive Women: Designing Decisions in 5 Minutes or Less and other titles and is the recipient of numerous civic and literary awards.

Jeanette Stephens-El is a breast cancer thriver since 2003. The recipient of Barack Obama’s Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for volunteer service, she has served as Fundraising Chair, Race for the Cure Chair and Community Ambassador to Susan G. Komen for the Cure–Philadelphia, and in 2017 she was tapped to lead The Oprah Magazine Team for the Avon39 Walk Against Breast Cancer in Boston. She served as a facilitator at a National Breast Cancer Disparities Conference in Washington, D.C., a follow-up to the 2016 SGK Breast Cancer Disparities Roundtable, for which she served as Moderator, and lobbied Congress for research funding. The AACR named her as ambassador for its indoor cycling event, Spintensity200 and she danced in a Survivors In Step competition/fundraiser. She has spent countless hours educating underserved populations about the importance of early detection, clinical trials, genetic testing, health and wellness, and med students about survivorship, including the Phila. College of Osteopathic Medicine. She wrote two books under her pen name Raining Deer about her breast cancer journey: BCV: Rites of Passage for Breast Cancer Victors; and 10 Tips to Avoid Breast Cancer (Unless It's in the Genes). Jeanette lost siblings to various cancers, and a sister to breast cancer. She has two other sisters who are breast cancer survivors and believes the best warrior is an informed warrior, armed with courage, knowledge and hope.
